commotion

「commotion」是「（喧鬧）騷亂」，例如：

There’s a lot of commotion, we can’t see gates.（現場非常混亂，我們看不見大門出口。）

A strange commotion in the hallway drew his attention.（走廊上的一個奇怪的騷動吸引他的注意。）

desperate

「desperate」是「絕望地孤注一擲、鋌而走險的」，例如：

The enemy became desperate at the defeat .（敵人戰敗後殊死掙扎。）

We must not make him desperate.（我們千萬不要逼得他走投無路。）

※「desperate」表示已經「沒有退路」了，所以小動物們會「at any cost」（不惜任何代價）保護蘋果樹。

profusely

「profusely」是「豐富、數量龐大的 」，例如：

All the moisture makes you sweat profusely.（這溼氣讓你揮汗如雨。）

WThis method helps to ripen new growth and makes it flower profusely.（這個方法有助催熟新生植物，使它開花繁茂。）
