flourish

「flourish」是「（植物）繁茂，或（事業）興旺」，例如：

The british empire flourished in the 19th century.（19世紀是大英帝國的全盛時期。）

Keep the soil moist, that way, the seedling will flourish. （保持土壤溼潤，如此幼苗就能茁壯成長。）

還可以形容「（炫耀性的）揮舞動作」，例如：

She tended to finish dancing with a flourish.（她有以誇張的姿勢結束舞蹈的習慣。）

intact

「intact」是「完整無缺、未受損傷的」，例如：

Most of those books remains intact even after two hundred years. （雖然過了兩百年，大部分的書還保持完好。）
