allowance

「allowance」是「津貼、零用錢」，例如：「Tom has a weekly allowance of five dollars.」（湯姆每周有五元的零用錢。）；「His allowance for food is $500.」（他購買食物的津貼是五百元。）

「allowance」也當作「允許（限）額」，例如：「What is the baggage allowance of this airline？」（這家航空公司的行李重量限額是多少？）

「allowance」也有「折價」的意思，例如：「This supermarket makes an allowance of 10% for cash payment.」（這家超市付現金打九折。）
