indigenous

「indigenous」是「本土的」，例如：「Musa Formosana is a plant indigenous to Taiwan.」（山芎蕉是台灣原產植物。）

用在人口統計就是「原住民」，例如：「millions of indigenous people spread across the country.」（數百萬原住民遍布全國）

glaze

「glaze」是「給磁器上釉」或者「在食物上澆汁」。例如：「We found several glazed clay pots in the old house. 」（我們們在老屋中發現了一些上釉的陶罐。）「glaze」也可以形容抽象的情緒，彷彿因為某件事，就「蒙上一層陰影」。

例如：「Her eyes started to glaze over at the mention of the accident.」

（ 一提到那次意外，她變得眼神呆滯、若有所思。）

fracture

「fracture」描述身體狀況時譯為「骨折」，例如：「The fracture of his right wrist was pretty serious.」（他的右手腕骨折相當嚴重。）「fracture」在本文中是物體出現「裂縫」，例如：「Maybe there was a fracture on the wall.（可能牆上有裂縫。）

另外引申的意思，原本完美的形象若出現「fracture」，形象就「毀了！」例如：「His reputation for honesty was fractured. 」（他那誠信的聲譽毀了。）
