Milford　Sound　is　the　number　one　touristattraction　in　New　Zealand,and　with　goodreason.

　Over500,000people　take　Milford　Soundtours　each　year,and　according　to Wikipedia,it　has　been　voted　as　one　of　the　most　populartourist　destination　in　the　world.However　itnever　feels　crowded,and　because　of　it’s　size,once　you　take　cruise　onto　the water,you　couldbe　amillion miles　from anywhere.

　離皇后鎮不遠的米福峽灣，是紐西蘭排名第一的旅遊景點，根據維基百科統計，每年有超過五十萬人參加米福峽灣之旅，它已被評選為世界上最受歡迎的旅遊目的地之一。雖然遊客眾多，造訪米福峽灣卻從來不會感覺擁擠，因為它的幅員遼闊，當你乘遊輪徜徉水面，彷彿遺世獨立、遠離塵囂。

　英國著名作家魯迪亞‧吉卜林說，米福峽灣是世界第八大奇景。

　在米福峽灣旅遊，可以看到高聳的懸崖與山峰，其中包括可能讓相機快門響個不停的地標「米特峰」，層層疊疊自海面垂直衝上天際；眾多瀑布相連，從茂盛幽深的熱帶雨林，穿越奇特的陡峭岩壁，直瀉峽灣。

　「destination」是目的地。「touristdestination」就是遊客此行的主要旅遊目的，是最想遊玩的地方。

　香港是亞洲中轉歐洲的樞紐，大量的旅客經常形色匆匆的短暫「到此一遊」。

　香港旅遊局於是努力宣傳香港的景點特色，並曾經宣傳「Destination—Hong　Kong」希望遊客專程到香港玩。

　Sound

　「Sound」是聲音、聲響。也是可聽範圍、距離。例如：「They　campedwithin　sound　of　the　sea.」（他們在聽得見海濤聲的地方露營。）米福峽灣的傳音、視野都深遠，所以Milford　「Sound」有多重的語意。「Sound」也有是完好的意思。有時朋友歷險歸來，問他：「你還好嗎？」希望會得到「safe　andsound」（安然無恙）的答案。

　「Wonder」是奇蹟，「Seven　Wonder」是「世界七大奇景」。「世界七大奇景」究竟是哪七大，眾說紛紜，最多人認同的，是中國大陸的萬里長城、美國大峽谷、加拿大尼加拉瓜瀑布、埃及金字塔、高棉吳哥窟、印度泰姬馬哈陵、義大利比薩斜塔。魯迪亞‧吉卜林說「米福峽灣是世界第八大奇景」應該不是想替它爭世界排名，只是形容風景壯麗獨特。
