wandered

「wander」是漫遊、閒逛，例如：「Alice wandered in the streets.」（愛麗絲在街上遊蕩。）

「wander」範圍擴大，就解釋為「偏離」，例如：「During the storm his yaught wandered from its course. 」（他的遊艇在暴風雨中偏離了航道。）比較抽象的敘述，例如：「Mr. Ma wandered from the subject.」 （馬先生說離了主題。）；「My attention wandered.」（我失了神。）

approach

如同文中的「approach」，通常是「接近、靠近」的意思，例如：「He cautiously approached the barn.」（他小心地靠近那穀倉。）

「approach」也引申為「找某某商量」，例如：「Have you approached the principal about taking a week off next month？」 （下個月請假一周的事，妳找校長商量了沒？）

impressed

「impress」是「壓印」，「He impressed his initials on the box.」 就是把名字的字首（縮寫）印在盒子上。

如果是「壓印」在心裡，就是形容「留下極深的印象」甚至「深受感動」。例如：「The teacher was very impressed by his story.」 （他的故事讓老師印象深刻。）

也可以用「impress」要求別人「牢記」。例如：「Our teacher impressed us with the importance of industry and economy.」 （老師要我們牢牢記住勤奮節儉的重要性。）
