On October 28th, Fo Guang Shan (Singapore) and Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) Singapore, in collaboration with other religious organizations, participated in the "Blessings in Harmony" event, distributing compassionate food packages to residents of the 7 Social Rented Housing estates in Ponggol Town.

Singapore places great emphasis on racial harmony and mutual respect and understanding among religions. "Blessings in Harmony" was jointly organized by Al-lslah Mosque and the Inter-racial and Religious Confidence Circle of Ponggol Town. The purpose was to bring together enthusiastic groups from various religions to contribute funds and efforts in distributing food to vulnerable communities. Through these practical actions, the event aimed to demonstrate mutual respect and harmony among religions, promoting unity and peace in society.

Fo Guang Shan (Singapore) was invited to participate in this event. Other participating religious groups included Dhammakaya Centre Singapore, Church of Transfiguration, Sheng Jia Temple, Gospel Light Chinese, Arulmigu Dandayuhapani Swami Thirukovil, and Maris Stella High School, an all-boys Catholic secondary school in Singapore. Together, these groups collaborated to distribute 1,950 packages of food to those in need.
Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, Sun Xueling, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Social and Family Development, and Sharael Tara, Member of Parliament, visited the site in person to cheer and encourage the volunteers.

Venerable Miao Mu, Abbess of Fo Guang Shan (Singapore), Ying Hoong Chow, President of BLIA Singapore, and Elder Advisor General Shen Qingfa led over 150 Subchapter Presidents, Vice Presidents, Elder Advisors, and volunteers. They responded to the officials' encouragement, engaged in exchanges with other religious groups, and developed affinity.
After the event, the participants returned to Al-lslah Mosque for the closing ceremony. The organizers presented gifts of affinity to various religious groups. Everyone enjoyed lunch, took group photos, and successfully concluded this event.
