Fo Guang Shan (Malaysia) Seremban's Sunday schools for children held the celebration ceremony on May 14th for annual Vesak Day, all the students and youths participated in a bathing the Buddha ceremony.
Under the guidance of the teachers, the students took turns to bathe the statue of Siddhartha, while silently reciting the "Three Acts of Goodness: Do good deeds, speak good words, and think good thoughts."

The teachers also explained to the students that bathing the Buddha can purify their afflictions, eliminate the three poisons: greed, anger, and ignorance, and wash away any past misdeeds. The teachers also distributed Buddha's Birthday cakes to the students.
On the same day, which was Mother's Day, the teachers emphasized the greatness of mothers' love and reminded the students to be filial to their parents. They encouraged the students to help with household chores and show love and gratitude to their mothers for their daily sacrifices and dedication to the family. They also encouraged the students to spend more time with their families.
The teachers also guided the students in making gifts to express their love and gratitude to their mothers, thanking them for their care and upbringing.
