Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) World held the " BLIA Dubai Preparatory Group Member Inauguration, United Arab Emirates & BLIA Affairs Seminar" 9th April. Venerable Chueh Cheng, BLIA World Headquarters Vice Secretary General(Southeast Asia), announced the formation of the preparatory group.

In order to congratulate the formation of the preparatory group, senior art collector Wang Yuheng donated the collection "Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra written by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty on New Year's Day in 1712", and Xuan Yali, the president of the preparatory group, accepted the gift on behalf of the group.

Li Dongxia, a famous calligrapher, wrote the word "Buddha" on the scene to congratulate the establishment of the preparatory group.

The honored guests included Venerable Ru Bin, BLIA YAD World Headquarters Vice Executive Director; Venerable You Rong, BLIA Chung Hua Vice Secretary General; Chai Shaojin, Assistant of Minister of Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence (UAE); and Tang Zhengang, the consultant of the preparatory group and the president of Association of Cultural Education for Overseas Chinese in the UAE. A total of 150 people attended the meeting, including Huang Mingkan and Cai Guohua, representatives of the local overseas Chinese community and directors of BLIA Chung Hua.

The  special honored guests included Most Venerable Hsin Bau, BLIA World Headquarters President; Venerable Tzu Jung, BLIA World Headquarters Acting President; and Venerable Chueh Pei, BLIA World Headquarters Secretary General, to give blessings to everyone through video.

Most Venerable Hsin Bau congratulated the establishment of the BLIA in Dubai. He said that the Buddha Light Association is the power of vow of Venerable Master Hsing Yun, the founder of Fo Guang Shan. Through the two forces of monks and Dharma protectors and devotees, everyone will come together to promote Buddhism. He welcomed everyone to return to the mountain in October to give a certificate, and get the blessings from Buddhists from all over the world.

Venerable Tzu Jung said that it's been 30 years since the founding of BLIA, and BLIA has more than 200 associations around the world. She congratulated the establishment of BLIA in Dubai to spread happiness, peace, joy, and freedom to Dubai, let everyone get the joy of life, happiness and peace.

Venerable Chueh Pei said that after the establishment of BLIA World in the United States in 1992, there were BLIA regional associations all over the world, and each association had many branches. The purpose is to unite the strength of Buddhists and take care of each other. Venerable Master Hsing Yun brought Foguang members together to learn and deepen Buddhism, and Foguang members are fellow practitioners.

Tang Zhengang said that he admires Venerable Master Hsing Yun very much. He has been to Taiwan more than 10 times and also met Venerable Master Hsing Yun in the Great Hall of the People. He admires Venerable Master Hsing Yun for promoting humanistic Buddhism and righteous Dharma throughout his life, it is a timely and opportune time for the BLIA to come to Dubai, and he appreciated that.
