Students at Sookmyung Women's University set a 5.3 metres in diameter weather vane at their campus in Seoul May 16, 2007. About 100 students participated in the making of the weather vane.
A weather vane, also called a wind vane, is a movable device attached to an elevated object such as a roof for showing the direction of the wind. Very often these are in the shape of cockerels and are called weather cocks. Arrows are also popular, but a multitude of designs like the one designed by Sookmyung Women's University have also been used.
