1.Stop focusing on how stressed you are and remember how blessed you are.
2.Your life will improve only when you take small chances, and the first and most difficult chance you can take is to be honest with yourself.
3.It only takes one person to make you happy and change your life:YOU.
4.When you smile about the life you live, you end up living a life worth smiling about.
5.Happiness comes more easily when you feel good about yourself without feeling the need for anyone else's approval.
6.Kindness is not to be mistaken for weakness, nor forgiveness for acceptance. It's about knowing resentment of any kind is not on the path to happiness.
7.Give as much as you can, but don't allow yourself to be used.
8.Listen to others closely, but don't lose your own voice.
9.What you allow is what will continue. It's always better to spend more time alone than allow negative people and their opinions to derail you from your destiny.
10.Be nice to people on your way up because you might meet them again on your way back down.
11.The unhappiest people in this world are the people who care the most about what everyone else thinks.
12.The trick is to enjoy your life today. Don't wish it away by waiting for better days ahead.
WOW!
take small chances
他引用了詩人Robert Frost 著名的〈The Road Not Taken〉,其中部分詩句節錄如下:
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
...... ......
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
...... ......
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
wish it away
「wish away」表示 :「to do nothing or to turn a blind eye on something, and hope that a problem will disappear.」(視而不見,或什麼也不做,然後希望問題會消失。)例如:
「Some people seem to think if they wish the disease away, then it will go away.」(有些人似乎認為,如果他們希望疾病遠離,那麼它們就會自行消失。)
「You can't just wish him away, you'll have to ask him to leave!
Don't try to wish away the difficulties of your life.(別幻想生活中的困境會自動解決),也就是不要「駝鳥心態」。
end up
「If he continue to steal he will end up in prison.」(如果他繼續行竊,終究要被逮進監獄。)
Somebody like you could end up a scapegoat.(像你這樣的人最後可能變成代罪羔羊。)
At first, the boy denied everything, but ended up confessing everything.
I thought I was going to hate this job, but I ended up enjoying myself.
