唯樂行布施，而不修智慧，

English Translation: Ven. You Zai

Those who cultivate wisdom but do not practice generosity will develop knowledge and intelligence but remain impoverished.

Those who practice generosity but not cultivate wisdom will obtain great wealth but remain unlearned and ignorant.

The dual practice of generosity and wisdom will resulting in the attainment of both wealth and wisdom. Those who cultivate neither will forever remain in the dark night of impoverished and ignorant.
