皈依佛，彈指越三祇，願我速登無上覺，還如佛坐道場時，能智又能悲。

皈依法，法法不思議，願我六根常寂靜，心如寶月映琉璃，了法更無疑。

皈依眾，梵行四威儀，願我遍遊諸佛土，十方聖賢不相離，永滅世間痴。

Taking Refuge in the Triple Gem,

Looking South of the River

Wang Anshi (1021-1086,Northern Song Dynasty)

English translation: Alex Amies

Taking refuge in the Buddha, Three Asamkhyeya Kalpas pass with a snap of the fingers. I vow to quickly attain unexcelled enlightenment, returning when there is a Buddha at this place of practice, able to act with wisdom and compassion.

Taking refuge in the Dharma, although dharmas are inconceivable. I vow to always calm the six senses, with a heart like a jeweled moon shining with lapis lazuli, comprehending the Dharma with no doubts.

Taking refuge in the Sangha, I vow to live peacefully and free from desires with the Four Comportments. I vow to travel to many Buddha lands, never forgetting the sages of the ten directions, always extinguishing the suffering of Samsara.
