The world census of endangered Black-faced spoonbills is scheduled to be finalized January 23,2005 when all the survey data on the rare migratory birds are collected from around Asia.

世界瀕危黑面琵鷺普查，預定在2005年1月23日結束，屆時將彙集全亞洲有關這類稀珍候鳥的所有調查資料。

The  number   of   Black-faced   spoonbills  over-
wintering in Taiwan, particularly in the southern county of Tainan, surpassed 780 as of January 9, 2005.

截至2005年1月9日，來台（特別是在南台灣台南縣）過冬的黑面琵鷺數量，超過780隻。

The Chiku Wetlands sanctuary near the estuary of the Tsengwen River in Tainan County has been the world's major habitat for Black-faced spoonbills and other Asian migratory species for years.

七股濕地是台南縣曾文溪出海口附近的禁獵保育區，多年來是黑面琵鷺及其它亞洲候鳥類在世界的主要棲息地。

Every September, several groups of Black-faced spoonbills will fly to the areas of reclaimed land near the  Tsengwen River outlet to pass the winter. 

每年九月，一群群的黑面琵鷺飛到曾文溪出海口附近的海埔新生地過冬。

Black-faced spoonbills are renowned for their graceful poise, which have earned them the nickname of 「Black-faced dancer.」 In February, they will start to search for food in the daytime as well in preparation for their long journey home to the north.

黑面琵鷺以優美的姿態聞名，贏得「黑面舞者」的雅號。二月裡，牠們開始整天覓食，也準備北返的長途飛行。
