On June 1st, members of the Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) Johannesburg Chapter visited Lehlabiles High School in Gamaria village to distribute relief supplies and bring warmth and hope to those in need.
The president of the Johannesburg Chapter, Cheng Xiangming, and supervisor Feng Deman, explained to the students of Lehlabiles High School the spirit of the "Four Givings" by the founder of Fo Guang Shan, Venerable Master Hsing Yun: to give others confidence; to give others hope; to give others joy; and to give others convenience. They blessed the students for their healthy growth. Subsequently, the students joined their palms together and listened attentively as Venerable Chueh Di recited the "Prayer for Parent, Friends, and Relatives" in English. The scene was heartwarming and touching.

Accompanying the visit to Lehlabiles High School was Stella, a police officer and the director of Bathlahong Orphanage. She expressed that her parents had been involved in the arduous process of establishing the school. She hoped that the students would cherish this hard-won environment, study diligently, and not disappoint the efforts of the older generation.
After leaving the school, the Fo Guang members met with a hundred elders from Gamaria village and distributed maize meal and blankets, concluding this year's relief activities on a satisfactory note.
