Kaohsiung branch of the new Republic of China Red Cross President Li Zongming arrived in India on March 26 with coaches Yang Zhongqiang, Lu Jingyi and Jian Zhaohan. They launched a 4-day first-aid training program for the Fo Guang Shan Cultural and Educational Centre, New Delhi. 29 sramaneras passed the test and received the basic Life-saving technique (BLS) and first-aider certificates, and the other 8 sramaneras under the age of 13 obtained certificates of completion.
The program includes first-aid procedures, prevention and treatment of shock, poisoned and heat exhaustion and heatstroke, steps of cardio pulmonary resuscitation(CPR) and how to use automated external defibrillator (AED), bandaging, fixation and hemostasis of wound, Heimlich manoeuvre, transportation of injured and other first aid skills. Coaches unanimously praised everyone for their serious attitude, and conducted technical and written tests according to the assessment standards. All sramaneras passed with high scores, which is commendable.

During the first-aid training, the coach Yang Zhongqiang conducted audio-visual teaching at night , sharing years of experience in directing and media management, and help 15 senior sramaneras improve their concepts and skills of vedio shooting. He hoped that the Buddhist Centre will present more diverse works in the future.
The first-aid training program was successfully completed on March 29. Baushuan Ger, Representative Taipei Economic and Cultural Center(TECC) in India, assigned Yu-Chi Chen, Director of Economic Division, TECC to attend the ceremony and issued certificates of completion. President Li Zongming delivered a speech and issued first aider certificates, made the best memories.
