B：My mom said she used to write a letter to her friends to keep in touch so every time when she received a letter from a friend, she always opened it with excitement. Don't you think it's amazing

J：Yes, it's a good way to keep in touch, but it seldom happens in today's world. Fewer people write a letter to their friend because it's too time-wasting. Text-messaging is much more convenient and ef-ficient.

B：You are right. That's why I always send text mes-sages to my friends to get an instant reply. But it seems that contacting friends through this way lacks something. Besides, with one thumb tapping, all the messages between my friends and me can be gone right away, and no more memories are left.

J：I can tell you must be a very nostalgic person.

珍 妮：我媽說她以前都是寫信和朋友聯絡的，所以每一次當她收到朋友的信時，她總是會很興奮的打開信。難道妳不覺得這很奇妙嗎？

布萊妮：是啊，這是保持聯絡的好方法，但是現今卻很少用寫信的方式。越來越少的人會寫信給朋友，因為那太耗時了。寫簡訊比較方便，也較有效率。

珍 妮：妳說的沒有錯。那也是為什麼我都是用簡訊服務，來得到朋友的立即回覆。但是透過這種方式來聯絡朋友，似乎少了些什麼的感覺。還有，單只用一個大拇指按一下，所有我和朋友間的聯絡訊息，可能就馬上消失了，不再有任何的回憶存留下。

布萊妮：可以看出妳是一個非常念舊的人。
