spit it out
If the food tastes queer, spit it out.(假如食物嘗起來怪怪的,就把它吐掉吧。)
Spit it out! Has cat got your tongue?(你倒說話呀,不吭聲是怎麼回事?)
You got something on your mind , just spit it out.(如果你有什麼心事,盡管說出來。)
He had no choice except to spit it out.(他被逼得無所適從,只好一吐為快。)
all ears
All ears were cocked for the footsteps on the stairs.(所有的人都豎著耳朵,聽樓梯傳來的腳步聲。)
The children were all ears when Granny told them stories.(奶奶講故事時,孩子們都全神貫注地聽。)
A detective must be all eyes and all ears.(一個偵探必須眼觀六路、耳聽八方。)
flock
A flock of birds flew towards us.(一群鳥兒朝我們飛來。)
People come in flocks to see the new bridge.(人們成群結隊參觀新橋。)
