一者，孝養父母，奉事師長；慈心不殺，修十善業。

二者，受持三皈，具足眾戒，不犯威儀。

三者，發菩提心，深信因果，讀誦大乘，勸進行者。

First, practice through being filial to one's parents, revering and serving one's teachers, cultivating kindness, refraining from killing, and performing the ten wholesome actions.

Second, make vows such as taking refuge in the Triple Gem, upholding the precepts completely, refraining from violating the rules of conduct, and being pure in body and mind.

Third, have faith by giving rise to the aspiration for enlightenment, believing in cause and effect, reading and studying the Mahayana, and practicing diligently.
