「by and by」是「不久」。 例如：It's very likely to clear up by and by . （天空）可能不久要放晴了。

或者是「漸漸」。 例如：At first he felt it awkward, but by and by he got used to it. （這個工作）起先他感到棘手，後來就漸漸熟練了


creep in out of the rain
