fluffy

「fluffy」是毛茸茸的、絨毛狀的。例如：「The newly hatched chicks are like fluffy balls.」（剛孵出的小雞像絨毛球。）

除了形容動物毛茸茸的，「fluffy」也有「鬆軟的」意思，例如：「a fluffy omelette」（鬆軟的煎蛋捲）。







in the midst of

「midst」是「在……之中」，例如：We found him in the midst of his friends. （我們在他的朋友群中找到他。）

也有是抽象的意涵，例如：They were in the midst of middle age crisis. （他們正處於「中年危機」中。）

文中的「in the midst of」隱約的表示，在這嘈雜紛亂的四濺瀑布中，（稍不留意就會錯過）灌木叢中的鳥巢。





tumbled a foaming waterfall





「tumbled」是摔跤，例如：Jack tumbled over and hit his head on the floor. （傑克摔了一跤，頭撞到地板。）

或是被絆倒，例如：She tumbled over the cat.（她被那隻貓絆倒了。）

「foam」是泡沫，「foaming waterfall」是「泡沫四濺」的瀑布，如同摔落深谷般，發出隆隆巨響、洶湧壯闊。
