We just introduced 2 types of aboriginal cuisine: bamboo tube rice and mochi. And no visit to an aboriginal village is complete without a taste of homemade millet wine with the locals.
We eat bamboo tube rice and mochi. And we drink millet wine. In Chinese, eat is pronounced "chi". And drink is pronounced "he". We "chi" bamboo tube rice and mochi; and we "he" millet wine. Got it! Good!
Taiwan has many all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants. At such restaurants, people pig out. Or in Chinese we say, people "da chi da he". "Da" means big. "chi" and "he" again means to eat and to drink. So "da chi da he" literally means "big eat big drink", or in English we say people pig out, or stuff yourself like a pig!
People need to "chi" and "he", but to "da chi da he" or to pig out is very unhealthy. Remember, dine out but don't pig out.
我們剛介紹了兩種原住民食物:竹筒飯與麻糬,另外來到原住民部落,肯定得和他們喝上兩口小米酒。
我們吃竹筒飯與麻糬,我們喝小米酒;中文的吃,發音為"chi",喝發音為"he",我們"chi"竹筒飯與麻糬;我們"he"小米酒,瞭解吧!
台灣有許多吃到飽的餐廳,到這種餐廳吃飯,當然嗑到飽,中文可以說大吃大喝,大發音是"da",吃與喝發音為"chi"與"he";所以"da chi da he"加起來就是大吃大喝;也就是英文說的 "people pig out",或是"stuff yourself like a pig!"
民以食為天,可是大吃大喝很不健康,所以啦,吃東西要適量!
