All year long, you can find bamboo dishes all over Taiwan. I like fresh bamboo shoots, bamboo soup, and of course bamboo tube rice, one of my favorite aboriginal delicacies.

  Just the thought of bamboo tube rice makes my mouth water. Or in Chinese, we say the bamboo tube rice makes me“lio kou shui.”“Lio”means flow, and“kou shui”means saliva. Together“lio kou shui”literally means the saliva flows out, or simply mouthwatering.When the food is very delicious, we say the food makes me“lio kou shui.”When a thought is very tempting, we say the thought makes me“lio kou shui.”Or, when a girl is very hot and makes my mouth water...... Yes, you guessed it! The girl makes you“lio kou shui.” That's not cool!

  When you are on the street and you see a hot girl. You should ignore her. And then she will want you. If you“lio kou shui”, she will think you are an idiot. Yeah! You think that girl will want to go out with you That's a fat chance.

  在台灣，您一年到頭可以享受到與竹有關的料理美食。我喜歡鮮筍、竹筍湯，當然，還有那我最愛的原住民佳餚──竹筒飯。

  只要一想到竹筒飯，就會讓我垂涎三尺。在中文的說法，我們會說竹筒飯令人想要流口水。流就是flow；口水就是saliva；加起來「流口水」字面上的意思就是the saliva flows out；或簡單的說就是mouthwatering。

  如果食物很美味可口，令人想垂涎三尺。我們就會說，這食物令我流口水。某種想法挺誘人的時候，我們會說那種念頭讓人流口水；或者是說，某位女子非常火辣，沒錯，你猜對了！我們會說，那女子令人流口水。嗯珥珥這有點遜喔！

  當你走在街上，遇見一位火辣女子，你應該要假裝視而不見，這樣她就會很想要認識你。不過如果你流口水的話，她可能就會認為你是白痴一個。沒錯！如果你認為那女子想要跟你在一起，那你就想太多了！根本不可能！
