不知大家有過這樣的經驗：每次打算戴耳機時，耳機線總是纏成一團，要費時間才能把它解開。今以之為題，談談糾纏一類的說法。
●embroil v. 牽連、拖入
Never again would I be so stupid as to embroil myself in a thankless work like this!
以後我可不會再那麼笨，牽扯進這種吃力不討好的工作！

●enmesh v. 絆住、陷入
He had never anticipated that his kindness would enmesh him in the never-ending nightmare of  being  harried by the bloodsucker
他萬萬沒有料到一時好心，竟使他陷入遭放高利貸者不繼煩擾的噩夢中。

●entwine v. 盤繞、交纏
As the Lunar New Year is drawing near, the workers have started to entwine strings of plastic  decorative flowers around the lampposts.
新年將到，工人已開始將一條條裝飾用塑膠花串纏在路燈柱上。
  英文裡還有「intertwine」一字，它的意思幾乎與「entwine」一樣。

●foul v. 糾纏著、纏結住
The vanished beaded wrist chain got fouled up.
那條亮漆手珠纏結在一起了。

●kink v. 扭結、絞纏
On such a gusty day, the streamers outside the building all kinked together.
因為整天在刮大風，建築物外的長彩帶都扭成一堆了。

●interweave v. 交織
He, a man of the world, has seen a good deal in life-a life interwoven with blood and tears.
他飽經世故，見過不少世面，其一生由血淚交織而成。

●wind v. 捲起、纏繞
After you finish using the pipe to water the flowers, remember to wind it back into a coil
你澆花後，記得將水管回捲成一卷。
  相反詞是「unwind」例如：Tie a knot at the end to prevent it from unwinding.
在尾端打結以免它鬆解開來。

●tangle n. 絞纏成一堆
There is a tangle of power cords behind the back of the computer.
電腦背後的電源線都亂成一堆。
