On February 2nd, the Kabankalan City Education Office held a special award ceremony to express sincere gratitude to the Fo Guang Shan Foundation Philippines for its long-term support of the Three Acts of Goodness Campus Project. Cora Romera, the English Secretary of the Buddha’s Light International Association Philippines – Bacolod Chapter, represented Fo Guang Shan and accepted the certificate of appreciation.

Dr. Leonerico E. Barredo, the Director of Education Support Services for the Sixth Administrative Region of the Philippines, commended Fo Guang Shan's spirit of serving the public and emphasized its contributions to the field of education. He noted that Fo Guang Shan's initiatives starting from education and its various activities have greatly aided in the development of the community and schools.

During the award ceremony, Cora Romera, the English Secretary of the Davao Chapter, delivered a speech expressing gratitude for the teachings of Master Hsing Yun, the founder of Fo Guang Shan, emphasizing the values of collective creation and inclusivity. She emphasized how Fo Guang Shan's spiritual philosophy has brought about positive changes in her personal life and thanked Fo Guang Shan for its longstanding support and inspiration in the field of education.

On behalf of the BLIA Bacolod Chapter, Cora presented the Education Office with the book "Cloud and Water: A Fifty Years Anniversary Photobiography Master Hsing Yun " describing the development process of Master Hsing Yun's propagation efforts over fifty years, as well as 2024 Spring Couplets ink painting masterpieces featuring Venerable Master Hsing Yun's calligraphy.
