Venerable Miao Jing, the abbess of Manila Mabuhay Temple at Fo Guang Shan in the Philippines, joined hands with Venerable Zhi Rong of Bacolod Fo Guang Shan Yuan Tong Temple and Nichole, a graduate from Guang Ming University, to visit the Philippines' Region 8 Administrative, covering eight provinces, on January 19th. They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Fetalvero, the highest official in the region's Department of Education. This visit not only emphasized the Three Act of Goodness education philosophy but also focused on post-disaster reconstruction, bringing the love and education of Fo Guang Shan to the eastern part of the Philippines, injecting new vitality into the areas heavily affected by typhoons.
Dr. Fetalvero, the regional director, showed great interest and support for Fo Guang Shan's Three Act of Goodness education, advocated by the founding Venerable Master Hsing Yun.
