Mabuhay Temple Abbess Venerable Miao Jing lend a group of Taiwan visitors to De La Salle University for campus tour in the morning of January 15. Together with her are Mabuhay Temple head of Social Education class, Venerable Zhi Pu; Professor Chun Chun Lim (Dean of Nanhua University in Taiwan, Office of International and Cross Strait Affairs); Christina Chen (project coordinator, Nanhua University Office of International and Cross Strait Affairs).

Professor Marjorie Evasco-Pernia (University Fellow & Professor Emeritus Literature Department) showed them around and introduced the school facilities. They visited the Museo; Seminar room; Library; Food court; Church; Staff Lounge; Student Study Corner; Collection corner; Faculty Center; offices; and Tutorial Room.

Professor Lim was amazed at the state-of-the-art facilities and buildings of De La Salle University.  She regularly arranged Nanhua Students for a study tour in different parts of Asia to open their eyes, and understand  different cultures. She encouraged Taiwan students not just visit Japan and Korea but go to other Southeast Asian countries to see and experience the fast development of these countries.  Student exchange has a big impact on students. World view and personal views change that lead to personal growth.

Professor Marjorie E Pernia was so delighted to show them around and welcome possibilities of student exchange and development in the future.  Guang Ming College is part of Fo Guang Shan University Consortium, Nan Hua has been sending exchange students to Guang Ming College for the overall experience of a student life.

Professor Lin and Ms Chen are here to present the scholarship program of Nanhua University to Philippine students. Nan Hua has 6000 students and 10% are foreign students. They will also be in Bacolod to present to different TAG schools as requested by the School Divisions in that region.
