N: It has been a long time since I saw you last time. Where have you been
C: I went to Australia as an exchange student for a year and just came back.
N: I see. So how did you get the opportunity
C: Our school opens the chances for students studying at this university to go to countries like Japan, America, Australia, Germany and Spain. And the credits we earn in the uni-versity abroad will be counted as graduation credits.
N: It sounds great. I hope I could also do that once I go to university.
C: Of course you can. But the most important thing is improve your foreign language if you want to be an exchange student.
N: Yes, Madam. I will start working on it al-though I am only a ninth grader.
C: You're right. The application process is quite competitive and the earlier you start working on it, the higher the chance you will have to get the opportunity.
