In response to the call for modernization5 of its outdated6 infrastructure7  that may drag8 down the economy, Taiwan now attempts to rejuvenize9 itself by building a multi-10 billion-dollar high-speed rail project.

　這張二○○四年三月四日發布，拍攝日期不詳的照片顯示，台灣高速鐵路的建築工地。為因應現代化的需求，以免老舊的基礎建設拖垮經濟；目前，台灣按計劃興建一條造價數十億的高速鐵路，以期呈現朝氣蓬勃的新氣象。
