China's newly crowned world figure skating champions Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo have announced wedding plans, China's Youth Daily said 23 March 2007. The pair had missed most of the 2005- 2006 season after Zhao Hongbo suffered a broken Achilles tendon August 2005.

"Zhao is the real winner. I admire the pair no matter the result," Chinese figure skating coach Yao Bin once said. "They are the Chinese heroes. I am happy for their performance and the result is not the most important," said China's IOC member He Zhenliang.

中國花式滑冰高手趙宏博和他的最佳拍檔申雪今年3月21日在東京世界花式滑冰錦標賽中技勝群雄，奪得冠軍。中國青年報三月二十三報導，這對新奪冠的佳偶已經宣布婚訊。2005和2006年，由於趙宏博在2005年8月跟腱斷裂，幾乎全部未出賽。

中國花式滑冰教練姚濱曾說：「趙宏博是真正的贏家，不管成績如何，我都很佩服這對佳偶。」國際奧委會執委何振梁也曾說：「他們是中國的英雄，我為他們的表現高興，成績不是最重要的。」
