1.customs 海關
at customs  在海關處

注意︰提領行李後就可直接到機場的最後一道檢查關卡─海關處，海關官員通常會要求檢查你的行李並詢問你如本文中的幾個問題，只要你沒有攜帶任何植物、水果、動物、毒品或武器等違禁品，海關是不會刁難人的。

例︰
When Paul was at customs, the customs officer gave him a hard time.
保羅在海關時，海關官員百般刁難他。

2.suitcase 行李箱（可數名詞）
baggage 行李
（=luggage）

baggage、luggage為不可數的集合名詞，表「一件行李」要說a piece of baggage或a piece of luggage，不可說a baggage或a luggage。

例︰
A: Do you have any baggage to check in
有沒有任何行李要登記托運？
B: Yes, I have these two suitcases and this carry-on.
有，這兩個行李箱，還有這件隨身的行李。

3.illegal drug  違法的藥品
illegala 非法的、違法的
drug 藥品

例︰It is illegal to bring guns into any country.
攜帶槍枝入境在任何國家都是違法的。

4.that's why+S+V 
 這就是為什麼……的原因
=that's the reason+S+V
=that's the reason why+S+V

例︰
A:It's raining! 下雨了！
B:That's why I asked you to bring an umbrella along.
 那就是我叫你帶把傘的原因。

sniff for......  嗅著尋找……

例：The dog is sniffing for her lost puppy.
那隻母狗正利用嗅覺尋找牠走失的小狗。
