Fo Guang Shan Mabuhay Temple

On January 21st, Venerable Miao Jing from Mabuhay Temple at Fo Guang Shan, together with Venerable Zhi Rong, embarked on an inspection tour of Benit Elementary School and Concepcion High School in the Sa Leyte region. They also participated in the grand Three Act of Goodness School certification ceremony at the Sohoy Activity Center.

On that day, nearly 80 guests, including Dr. Josilyn, the School division Superintendent of the Education Bureau, and teachers and students from the five schools, witnessed this inspiring moment together.

During the event, Dr. Lileth, the Three Act of Goodness coordinator at the Education Bureau, who was the first principal to apply for the Three Good School designation and now serves as the official responsible for promoting the Three Act of Goodness program, demonstrated unwavering support for the program. In the ceremony, the five schools officially became Three Act of Goodness Schools, symbolizing comprehensive recognition in academics, ethics, and sports.

The day's activities were diverse, including competitions in creative writing, singing, painting, and more, showcasing the students' multifaceted talents. The director presented certificates and generous cash prizes to encourage these outstanding students to continue their pursuit of excellence. The torch of education was passed on by these five schools, igniting the passion for learning in more students and contributing to the progress of society with remarkable contributions.

The principals and teachers of the two inspected schools expressed that the Three Act of Goodness program initiated by Fo Guang Shan has greatly assisted the schools. It has provided the schools with more opportunities to organize events due to the affinity created, and the positive changes observed in students have led to increased parental involvement in school activities.
