Venerable Miao Jing, the abbess of Mabuhay Temple at Fo Guang Shan in the Philippines, led Venerable Zhi Rong of Yuan Tong Temple and Nichole, a graduate from Guang Ming University, to visit Dr. Manuel, the School Division Superintendent of the Department of Education in Baybay City on the morning of January 19th. The superintendent shared the exciting news that his education program had received the 2022 Philippine Excellence in Education Award, emphasizing that the program is based on the Three Act of Goodness philosophy advocated by Venerabl Master Hsing Yun. He sincerely thanked Master Hsing Yun and Fo Guang Shan for their support in the field of education.

On the same evening, the Education Bureau held the 2023 Three Act of Goodness Schools Award Ceremony, honoring a total of 16 schools. Dignitaries in attendance included the city government's education advisor, the director, and principals of 81 elementary and secondary schools in the city, with approximately 130 people participating in the ceremony. This event not only recognized the outstanding performance of schools in education but also highlighted Baybay City's active promotion of Three Act of Goodness education. It showcased the profound influence of Fo Guang Shan in promoting the Three Act of Goodness education philosophy, integrating positive values into the local education system. It was also an opportunity to facilitate collaboration and share achievements in the education sector, bringing new hope and motivation to Baybay City's education industry.

Dr. Arradaza, the education advisor of the Baybay City Education Bureau, a retired university president, revealed that he had previously visited Taiwan's National Chung Hsing University for research on green energy. During his visit to the Philippines, he deeply felt the friendliness and warmth of the Taiwanese people and expressed high appreciation for Taiwan's education system and green energy technology.

The education bureau advisor further stated that the Taiwanese people's concern for the global environment left a profound impression on him. He emphasized that such values have positive inspirational effects on both the education industry and sustainable environmental development.

His story highlights Taiwan's excellent performance in education and green energy and reflects the warm and enthusiastic style of the Taiwanese people, becoming a touching chapter in the cultural and educational exchange between the two countries.
