Out of 750 schools nationwide in the Philippines that applied for the selection of Three Acts of Goodness Practice Schools, 300 were successfully awarded. These schools are distributed across 32 educational districts, with Negros Occidental boasting 174 schools spanning 12 cities and municipalities.

In recognition of the outstanding performance of these schools, Fo Guang Shan Yuan Thong Temple hosted the "8th Philippines Three Good Campus Awards Ceremony 2023" in Negros Occidental on December 10. Venerable Chueh Lin, the supervisor of the Mabuhay Temple of Fo Guang Shan, personally presented certificates and monetary awards to representatives from 10 city and municipal education offices.

Venerable Chueh Lin expressed Venerable Master Hsing Yun's profound emphasis on education and presented  books, "Cloud and Water -A 50 Year Anniversary Photography of Master Hsing Yun" and the bilingual storybook "Bodhi Tales" to each education department. She emphasized Venerable Master Hsing Yun's lifelong advocacy of the Three Act of Goodness concept: "Do good deeds, speak good words, Think good thoughts," promoting physical and mental health, family harmony, and societal well-being.

Mrs. Em Ang, a government advisor, mentioned during the ceremony that her child had attended the children's class at Yuan Thong Temple in their early years, praising Fo Guang Shan's talent cultivation. She believes that quality education can bring positive transformation to society.

Mrs. Marsette, the Superintendent of Sagay Education Department, expressed gratitude for the Three Acts of Goodness Campus Education, acknowledging its contribution to the overall improvement of Sagay City. Mrs. Christine, responsible for arts and culture at the Bago Education Office, mentioned her exposure to Fo Guang Shan starting this year. Through visiting the Three Good Campus art exhibition, she discovered Fo Guang Shan's rich activities and competitions in the field of arts and culture.
This awards ceremony highlights the exceptional performance of Negros Occidental in the Three Acts of Goodness Campus Practice Schools and acknowledges its active involvement in the fields of education, culture, and the arts.
