On August 11, in order to encourage schools to participate in the "Three Acts of Goodness School Program", Venerable Miao Jing, the abbess of Fo Guang Shan Mabuhay Temple in Philippines, led Venerable Zhi Rong of Yuan Thong Temple, Philippines Three Acts of Goodness School administrative teacher Ms. Imelda Tabiao and Mr. Jon Tabian, the assessment teacher to visit the Education Bureau and various schools in San Carlos City.

The delegation arrived at the San Carlos Education Bureau and met with the director, Mr. Peter, to discuss the educational plans that Fo Guang Shan has cooperated with the Education Bureau in recent years, and how the two sides can explore new ways of cooperation.

Venerable Miao Jing presented the 30th anniversary report of schools participants of Three Acts of Goodness promote by Philippines Fo Guang Shan, Fo Guang Shan founder Venerable Master Hsing Yun's bilingual Filipino-English storybook " Bodhi Servey " and Venerable Master Hsing Yun's "Doing Good," the books were accepted by Mr. Peter.

Mr. Joven Cahaban, head of the Three Acts of Goodness School Program of the San Carlos Education Bureau, led everyone to visit Panoolan Primary School.

Three Acts of Goodness School Program advocates establishing a daily reading club, with senior students serving as elementary school teachers to help teach lower grade students to read, improving students' learning enthusiasm and keeping up with the progress, preventing students from dropping out of school, and improve the rate of admission and the stability. As students literacy rate rsaised, their learning ability improved and they gain confidence in reading and in theirselves. Students also learn how to demonstrate the school's education program.

The second school visited is Kabagtasang Primary School, which is located deep in the mountains. It takes more than two hours to drive from the city to the school.

The school has a hydroponic farm, so that students can acquire more skills and help their families make a living, parents then would allow their children to attend the school.

Kabagtasang Primary School also cooperate with community production and marketing, transporting agricultural products to cities for sale andincrease household income. Principal Jiezyl E. Villanueva slept in the office every day, and went home only on weekends and holidays. He made all efforts to cultivate educational talents.

In order to encourage schools to participate in the "Three Acts of Goodness School Program", Mr. Joven Cahaban often went to schools to lead teachers to implement the plans and showed the achievements to principal. The success of everything is hard-won and must be done bit by bit. The practice of Three Acts of Goodness School requires collective participation.
