Hours later, the car comes to a stop(1). 
D2：All right. This is as far as I'm going. 
B：Where are we? 
D2：We're about 15 minutes from the Gold Coast. When you get there, look for Dean's Hotel. Tell him that Wade gave you a lift(2). He should give you a discount. 
B：Thanks for the ride. I'm really grateful for(3) your kindness(4). 
D2：That's what Australia is all about.
Betty finally arrives at Dean's Hotel. 
B：I'm looking for Dean. 
D：You've come to the right place. I'm Dean. 
B：I just hitchhiked halfway(5) across Australia and...... 
D：Weren't you afraid 
B：Not really. Everyone I ran into was very hospitable(6). 
D：I'm glad you made it. What can I do for you 
B：I want a nice room, some surf lessons, and a discount for knowing Wade. 
D：You got it, mate!

數小時後，車子停了下來。 
駕駛 2：好啦。
我最遠就只能到這了。 
貝　蒂：我們在哪啊？ 
駕駛 2：這裡離黃金海岸還有15分鐘。妳到那裡後，去找一家狄恩旅館。
告訴他韋德載了妳一程，他應該就會幫妳打折。 
貝　蒂：多謝你讓我搭便車。
真的很謝謝你的好心。 
駕駛 2：澳洲就是這個樣子囉。 
貝蒂終於抵達狄恩旅館。 
貝　蒂：我找一位狄恩先生。 
狄　恩：妳來對地方了。
我就是狄恩。 
貝　蒂：我剛搭便車橫越大半個澳洲，而且……
狄　恩：妳不害怕嗎？ 
貝　蒂：還好耶。
我碰到的人都很好客。 
狄　恩：很高興妳能成功抵達。
我能為妳效勞嗎？ 
貝　蒂：我要一個好房間、幾堂衝浪課、還要來點折扣，因為我認識韋德。
狄　恩：朋友，當然沒問題！
