critical state

「critical 」是「批評」，例如：

If someone says something critical she takes it to heart.（如果有人提出批評，她會十分介意。）

「critical state」是「關鍵（危急）的狀況」，例如：

Their day-to-day finances are in a critical state.（他們的日常財務狀況捉襟見肘。）

We can say that national security is in critical state.（我們可以說國家安全正處危急關頭。）

「fraction」是「裂縫、幾分之幾」，「a fraction of a second」一秒間的「小裂縫」，也就是「一秒鐘的若干分之一」，例如：

The search results are returned to the user in a fraction of a second.（不到一秒搜尋結果就會傳回給使用者。）

She hesitated for a fraction of a second before responding.（她猶豫了一下，才作出反應。）

It needed only a fraction of a second to burst that bubble.（戳破那泡泡只要短短的一瞬間。）

aware of

「be aware of」是「了解、察覺」，例如：

Scientist："Yes , I am aware of this phenomenon. They do exist."（科學家：我察覺這種異象。它確實存在。）

I am aware of your uneasiness and discomfort and fear. （我很清楚你現在的焦慮、不安與恐懼。）

「well aware of」則是「充分了解或意識」，例如：

「I'm well aware of the risks.」 （我非常清楚地知道箇中風險。）
