The Three Acts of Goodness Schools in Cadiz, Philippines started their summer vacation on July 10 this year, leading students to do community charity beside of summer study, which lasted until August 28 before the start of school.

Viola, the principal of Progreso Primary School, shared with Venerable Zhi Rong of Fo Guang Shan Yuan Thong Temple that the Cadiz school not only participated in the public welfare VegRun, but also led the students to do community charity.

After the public welfare VegRun, Don Luis Consig Primary School started on July 24. The principal and teachers brought the students to the community to distribute agricultural seeds to the villagers. It is hoped that the villagers can grow better vegetables and rice with high-quality seeds, and increase their income, and improve the harsh environment. And through the VegRun global vegetable road run, the students learned that there are many kind people in the world who are willing to help others.

Igcamalig Primary School is a small primary school located on the hill. Many students only wear slippers. Viola said that every week in August, the teachers will find a day to gather students, parents, and community residents to promote the VegRun global charity road run and the concept of Three Acts of Goodness Movement, letting people know about they can also bring more good fortune to the society by running, "because of my participation, more people have received food sponsorship."

Principal Viola said that teachers and students of the school are encouraged to use their painting skills to create works with the concept of Three Acts of Goodness, and donate them to those in need through charity sales. Beginning on August 5, the students used their spare time to create a number of paintings that beautify the environment and promote the Three Acts of Goodness ideas. At present, two walls have been completed, and the remaining works are to be completed. Principal Viola introduced Venerable Master Hsing Yun, the founder of Fo Guang Shan to the students and residents. The principal Viola said that Master Hsing Yun changed his life. Don't underestimate your own power. As long as you start from yourself, you will surely benefit more people.

From the beginning of the summer vacation this year until the reopen of school on August 28, the life of teachers and students in Cadiz City School is colorful, allowing more communities, parents, and joint participation, to practice the symbiosis and collective creation of the school and the community.
