Mel is walking down the hall in the hotel when Oliver starts to talk to her.

O：Excuse me. How long have you been here on Easter Island
M：This is my fourth day. What about you
O：I just arrived this afternoon. What are some must-see(1)  places
M：You have to visit the quarry(2) at Rano Raraku. You can spend  hours just wandering around(3) there
O：I've heard about(4) that  place.
M：Yeah. I went yesterday and it was beautiful.
O：What did you do today
M：I took pictures of as many moais(5) as I could.
O：Those  rock  statues(6)  are  really interesting and mysterious(7).
M：You're right. I got a lot of beautiful  pictures  at  dawn(8) this morning.
O：Is that what you do for a living(9)
M：Yes. I'm a photographer(10) for National Geographic.
O：I would love to see some of your photographs(11).
M：I'll show you some if you come to dinner with me later.

梅兒正走在飯店的長廊上，奧立佛開始跟她交談。
奧立佛：請問一下。妳來復活島多久了？
梅　兒：今天是第四天。你呢？
奧立佛：我今天中午才到的。有沒有哪些地方是非去不可的？
梅　兒：你一定要到拉諾‧拉拉庫的採石場看看。光在那閒逛你就能花上好幾個小時。
奧立佛：我聽說過那個地方。
梅　兒：是啊。我昨天才去的，那裡真漂亮。
奧立佛：那妳今天做了什麼？
梅　兒：我去拍摩埃石像的相片，有多少照多少。
奧立佛：那些石雕真是既有趣，又神秘。
梅　兒：沒錯。我今早破曉時拍了許多美麗的照片。
奧立佛：妳就是靠攝影維生的嗎？
梅　兒：對呀！我是國家地理雜誌的攝影師。
奧立佛：我真想看看妳的大作。
梅　兒：如果你待會和我共進晚餐，我就讓你看一看。
