M: No one, really. I just felt like baking cookies. Your father will probably eat them. Do you want me to send you some

P: No thanks, Jane and I are both on a diet.

M: Why are you on a diet You're so skinny2, you should be eating more.

P: I eat plenty of food. I'm on a diet because I'd like to keep the extra weight off.

M: How is Jane

P:She's fine. We had a great time celebrating her birthday last week. She spent the day relaxing at the Day Spa.

M:Oh Peter, you're such a nice boy. She's lucky to have you.

P:Mom, I'm 28 years old. I'm not really a boy anymore.

M:You are still my little boy. So, when are you and Jane getting married

P: Mom! We're not getting married! We've only been dating for four months!

M: Your father and I only dated3 for six months before we tied the knot. I knew right away that he was the right one for me.
