Mr. Lee is a rural village artist.  He was born in a fishing village and stayed there all his life.  He uses his untrained paint brush to splash colors over his canvas for sixty years.Creating simple, strong and naturalistic paintings and dedicated his lifetime paintings of more than seventy years.
李老先生是位鄉土畫家，出生於濱海漁村，也在那裡度過了漫長的歲月，浸潤彩筆六十年，他的畫流露出樸拙、浪漫的自然情懷，作品意境純真，把七十多年的人生閱歷，全都收集在畫紙裡了。

He said every evening when the sun set and the dusk arrived, he loved to stand on the mountain top and watch the endless sea and the barrier bushes.  He looked at the shimmering salt fields.  All these he put down in his paintings. 
他說，每當夕陽西下暮色煙嵐中，最愛站在住家附近山上遙望，那無際的海洋，茂密的防風林，縱橫的鹽田阡陌，透過線條，留在畫紙上。

When I saw him paint at the exhibit, I saw the speed which he finishes a landscapes.  Among the voices of praise I couldn't help but think, "This is the accumulation of sixty year' hard work."  We only see a person's success and ignore his hard work and effort.
見他當場立即揮毫，迅速成就一幅令人激賞的作品，在一片稱讚聲中，令我深思，這半小時的表現，背後有六十年的努力，我們往往只見到別人成功的一面，忽略了不為人知的辛勤。

A life is not wasted if one strives to follow his interest and never wavers; he has achieved.
人的一生中，培養一項終身寄託而樂此不疲的興趣，並盡力達到完美境界，才不虛度此生。
