提 要

猜謎語的樂趣，在於讓人出乎意料之外，但又要在情理之中；有的詳述了百分之九十九的線索，獨漏關鍵的百分之一；有的以慣用語搭配諧音，在新的一年，博君一笑。

❶ A boy and an engineer were hiking. The boy is the son of the engineer but the engineer is not the father of the boy. Then who is the engineer?

Answer : Engineer is the boy's mother.

❷ Everyone in the world needs it. They generously give it. But never take it. Then what is it?

Answer : Advice.

❸ He was driving a black truck on a long road at a great speed. The lights on the truck were off. It was a new moon day. An old lady was slowly crossing the road. He should stop the truck otherwise, he would hit the lady. How did he do?

Answer : The driver stopped the truck immediately after seeing the old lady, as it was a bright sunny day!

❹ Four children and their pet dog were walking under a small umbrella. But none of them got wet. How come?

Answer : It was not raining!

❾ Which moves faster? Heat or Cold?

Answer : Heat. Because you can catch a cold but cannot catch heat.

❶ 一個男孩和一位工程師在健行。這個男孩是工程師的兒子，但工程師卻不是這個男孩的父親。那這位工程師是誰？

答：工程師是男孩的母親。（工程師未必是男性，帶兒子健行的當然也不必是男性。）

❷ 世界上每個人都需要它。人們通常慷慨地給予它，但卻永遠不願意接受它。那麼，這是什麼？

答：建議。（建議更精確地說就是『忠告』，忠言逆耳利於行的那種建議。）

❸ 他正在一條很長的路上，以極快的速度駕駛一輛黑色卡車。卡車的燈熄滅了，那天晚上是黑暗無光的「新月」。一位老太太慢慢過馬路。他如果不停下卡車，就會撞到那位老太太。他是怎麼做的？

答：卡車司機在看到這位老太太後，立即就停下卡車，讓她老人家先過馬路，因為雖是「新月」，當時卻是陽光燦爛、視野遼闊的白天！

❹四個孩子和他們的寵物狗擠在一把小雨傘下行走。但五個小傢伙都沒有變溼。怎麼會這樣？

答：因為那時沒下雨！

❺這是專屬於你的「財產」，但是你卻很少使用它。那是什麼？

答：你的名字。

❻我會在一分鐘出現一次，一會兒出現兩次，但千年來永遠不會出現。我是誰？

答：單字「M」。

❼我是世界上最「滑溜溜」的國家，猜猜我是誰？

答：希臘。（因為希臘「Greece」的英文發音與油脂「Grease」相同，所以油油亮亮的它，當然就是最「滑溜溜」的國家了。）

❽你總是製造更多，但留下更多，你做的愈多，留下的就愈多。它是什麼呢？

答：腳印。

❾哪個移動的比較快？熱還是冷？

答：熱。因為你可以抓得到「冷」，但抓不到「熱」。「抓到冷」（catch a cold）的意思是「著涼、感冒」，但沒有「抓到熱」的詞。

❿有一種鴨子永遠不會游泳，那是什麼鴨？

答：橡皮鴨。
